Klemens Jakob hat sich ein Haus gebaut, das so wenig Ressourcen wie möglich verbraucht, seinen eigenen Strom erzeugt, speichert und verbraucht, einen eigenen, unabhängigen Wasser-Kreislauf besitzt und den Nährstoff-Kreislauf der Erde unterstützt.
Das Ergebnis ist das Ownhome, das der 60-Jährige seit Herbst 2017 bewohnt. Das Tiny House ist sein Hauptwohnsitz. Es steht am Ortsrand von Isingen, einem Teilort der Stadt Rosenfeld im Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg.
Jakob hat es mit Hilfe von Freunden komplett selbst aus Holz, Kalk und Lehm gebaut. Innen bietet es eine drei mal sechs Meter große Wohnfläche, also 18 Quadratmeter. Dazu kommt ein Wintergarten-Gewächshaus an der Südseite, in dem Klemens Jakob Obst und Gemüse anbaut. Dort findet auch eine Aquaponik-Anlage Platz, die die Aufzucht von
Fischen in Aquakultur mit der Kultivierung von Nutzpflanzen mittels Hydrokultur verbindet. Außerdem gibt es eine große Terrasse. Mit dem kompletten Innenausbau und der Technik hat das Tiny House rund 60.000 Euro gekostet.
Beim Betreten des ownhomes erlebt man eine große Diskrepanz zwischen der Vorstellung die bei einem Haus von 18m² im Kopf entsteht und dem dann tatsächlich erlebten Raum. Durch die vielen Fenster und Türen entsteht ein heller, freundlicher Raum der sich unerwartet groß anfühlt. Dieses Gefühl wir duch die Raumhöhe noch zusätzlich unterstützt. Die Rundungen im Wandbereich und bei der Innenraumgestaltung erzeugen eine „runde“, wohlige Atmosphäre die zum Verweilen einlädt. Das angenehme Raumklima entsteht durch die gesunden Baumaterialien von Lehm, Kalk und Holz. Diese können durch ihre Materialeigenschaften die Luftfeuchtigkeit ideal regulieren und Gerüche gut absorbieren. Die Transparenz der vielen Glasflächen verursacht das Gefühl des Eingebundseins in die Umgebung und gleichzeitig das Gefühl des behütet seins durch einen geschützten, warmen Raum.
